A native of New Hampshire’s Lakes Region, Dorcas Gordon joined the Wescott law office in 2003. Dorcas is admitted to practice in the Courts of the State of New Hampshire and the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire. She earned her BA in English from Boston College and her JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
Dorcas is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, and from 2005 to 2010 served as Belknap County’s elected representative to the New Hampshire Bar Association Board of Bar Governors. Dorcas is involved with numerous volunteer and civic organizations and efforts within her community in the Newfound Lake Region, including serving on the Board of Directors of Mayhew, a program that works with at risk New Hampshire boys. Dorcas also serves on the Budget Committee and Historic District Commission for the Town of Bristol, and volunteers as an interviewer for the St. Paul’s School Advanced Studies Program. Dorcas regularly gives presentations to local organizations on the topic of estate planning. In her free time, Dorcas enjoys gardening, travel and restoring her mid-nineteenth century home that she shares with her husband, Michael Dineen.
Dorcas maintains a general practice, but primarily assists clients in the areas of estate planning, probate, real estate and civil litigation, including evictions, collections, property disputes and personal injury.
